Hey everyone! Im new here. I have a 2021 with the 1.0l and I recently noticed my transmission is starting slip, usually 1st through 3rd. Its my daily driver and has 13.6k miles on it. I took a sample of the atf and it didn't look the greatest. I have an appointment made at the dealership since its still under warranty. Does anyone else have this issue and is there a fix for it?

Welcome to the forum!

Sorry to hear about your tranny troubles. Since they're fixing it under warranty, let's hope they find the problem and also give you some fresh fluid. Let us know how it goes.

I’m from Canada but my 2.0l had an over haul down at 85,000km cuz it was slipping. They diag it as a torque converter turned out when they broke it up it needed a lot more. They didn’t do clutch packs but since it was still banging in to gear they have ordered them now.

I have the same problem with a 2020 Ecosport AWD. I'm in Colombia, S America. Notice a 'jerking' motion when in 2nd and 3rd when it's between 1700 - 2200rpm. Even when I put it in S mode and force it into 2nd and 3rd. Only 40k km on it. We're taking it in this Thursday for inspection. They've told us before that because we didn't do the previous services with them (very expensive), that this may not be covered under warranty.

I don't know what services are required in Colombia, but in the US, there is no transmission maintenance specified until 150,000 miles (240,000 km), unless you use it for towing. Then it's every 30,000 (48,000 km.) You don't need to have it serviced at all at 40k km.

Covered under warranty. But it'll take 2-3 months to receive new transmission from the USA :(

I hate to say this, but 2 to 3 months is unacceptable. I know something about logistics when it comes to shipping times. I did it for a living. It sounds like they are going to ship it via containership. Doing it that way is the cheapest and may well take that long. If it's under warranty and if not by air, they should at least do it by land or rail. Either one should not take longer than a month if that long.

I don't know if complaining would do you any good, but I would have a hard time not complaining.

Either way, I wish you well and hope it in the end, it doesn't take that long.
