My 2018 SES would do this randomly and they had to replace the latch mechanism in the door but the dealership paid for it. So I’m not sure if it’s a recall or not.
Swing gate almost opens
Hello all,
looking for some answers on a 2018 Ecosport. Girlfriend tells me that at times when she hits a bump an alert comes up on dash that swing gate is open but of course it is not but slightly ajar.
Looked to see if there were any recalls but to no avail. Mechanic whom is a friend and I trust hasn’t a clue.
Anyone have any thoughts?

Thank you, yeah I checked for it to be a recall but to no avail. I’ll have to check at Ford now.
