Hi! I got my Ecosport a week ago, and just learning yet. There are some things, that I'm not sure what these work.
1: When I gear up or down there is a short sound sometimes. Not always!
2: When I start the engine sometimes I need to press the brake with the clutch. Also not always!
Pls help what does it depends on?
Thanks!

It will help if you record the sounds you're experiencing, someone mechanically inclined would be able to better direct you.

being a new vehicle with warranty, I suggest you see what the dealer has to say

Congrats on the new Ecosport but sorry to hear you're running into some issues. Is the noise like a grinding? Not too familiar with the manual gearbox. And you should always be using the brake when starting the car.

Hj! The sound problem solved. It's funny, the carpet was sliping a little bit forward, and when I release the clutch it touch the edge of carpet. It's my shame, sorry for it. Thx for advices!
The new question:
I need to remove the glove box to reach the fuses (dashcam). Any step by step description?

At least it was something minor and easy to address lol. Shouldn't be too involved in removing the glovebox, as there are usually just some clips/pegs that need to be compressed. Here's a full thread about hardwiring a dash cam. Just keep in mind its for the India based model.

If its different you might have some luck in calling up your local dealership and asking guys at the parts department.
I wish it was like years ago where car makers would have more DIY type instructions in the owners manual, now no more.
