Well, a few months ago, I was complaining on here and too Ford about how my '21 1.0 Eco was shifting... I took it to the dealership then, and they said the typical thing... We can't trouble-shoot it without the service light being on... Well, a few weeks ago, it finally came on, and boy did it start shifting weird... few times it actually up-shifted (from like 5th to 3rd) really quick, for no reason. Glad it didn't do that at highway speeds or it would be needing a motor as well!

I took it back too the dealership two weeks ago, and they confirmed that the tranny was smoked... I called them today, and a brand new tranny showed up for it today... Damn glad it finally went too crap while it was still under warranty...

It is to be done on Wednesday... (Today is Monday)

Glad to see you're being taken care of.
I've not heard of many tranny problems with this car, but sometimes you just get a bad one.
This is your chance to break it in right. (y)

We have a 2020 Ecosport AWD, and while it's not slipping from 5th to 3rd, we are having problems. There is another thread about tranny problems on this forum as well...recent. For us, when it's in 2nd or 3rd around 1700-2200rpm, we get a 'jerking' motion. We see the rpm jump a good 200-300rpm...not smoothly, but jumping.

We're taking it to the dealer in two days. We're in Colombia, S America. 40,000km on it. Hopefully under warranty.

Well, I purchased the car new, so I broke in the original tranny as well. I think I just got a bad one...

Just heard back from dealer. Covered under warranty, but it'll be 2-3 months as they have to ship a new transmission from the USA.... :(

Let's hope you can keep driving it until then.
My other car (Fiesta ST) had some transmission problems in the early models. Those ended up getting replaced. It was a manufacturing defect. The later transmissions worked fine.
There are many EcoSports with lots of miles on them that are still running fine, so I hope this is just a case of some bad transmissions from the factory, and not something that happens to all of them.
Just to be safe, I will have my transmission flushed every 30,000 miles, and the transfer case and rear differential, too. I intend to keep this car as long as possible.

I got lucky and it only took a few weeks for mine.
