Possible Air Intake for the 2.0L 4WD

Just wondering if anyone has thought to put an air intake into the EcoSport from the Focus since they do share the same engine. From what I’ve seen the focus and the EcoSport could share an air intake from k&n but the only issue would be making sure the bolt holes are close or similar.

I'd guess you could make it work. Might take a little fabricating.

It’s the same motor just different vehicle so I thought about doing it to see if it works

Maybe call K&N. Tell them what you're trying to do and see if they'll let you return it if you can't make it work.

That’s a good idea

Did you try it?
I just have the K&N panel filter. It's only been in there for a couple thousand miles, but it's definitely filtering and the top part of the airbox is clean as new. I get a little more intake noise, and it pulls well.
The intake draws cold air from in front of the car, so that's basically a CAI, anyway. It won't give the whoosh of the big filter, but it's something.

I haven’t had time to call and ask but I was going to because the car does need more air to get better gas mileage and power

The’ll probably say it does not fit because you will need to block off the Map sensor (I uses JB Weld) and drill a hole for the AIT sensor. Everything else fits like a glove
