Greetings all,
I was just wondering if anyone converted to the paddle shifters on their auto trans. I know the Focus was prewired for them regardless, was thinking since it was an option on the EcoSport, that may be the case for them as well, just needing to swap steering wheels and select that option using ForTran
Thanks!

FWIW, I used the paddle shifters a few times, just to try them out. They work. I've used S mode on the rare occasion I take it off pavement.
But generally, this car just doesn't make me want to drive it hard. There really isn't enough power on tap to reward it.

Personally, I use my paddle shifters quite often. Moreso, in fact, than I ever did on my Chrysler 200. In terms of the power...I mean, I've driven 550hp Range Rovers, I have owned everything from a Range Rover to a Saab 9000 Aero to the Chrysler 200 with the Pentastar 3.6L, and a GMC Terrain with the 1.6L Turbo Diesel...the Ecosport 2.0 most certainly won't win any horse power competitions, but I've found that it does rear it's head a little bit if you get higher in the rev band.

You are correct. Shifting it manually will make it giddy up a lot better than anything S mode can do. I just don't need it. However, it's kinda like a gun in that respect: Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it, right? I'm kinda glad I have the sportiest version of the Eco ever made. It's the pinnacle of EcoSport performance.

I suspect that mwittke5857 is right. I bet you could put an SES wheel on it and get it to work just using ForScan.

I noticed that the new SESs don't have them now. Kinda glad I got an older one. I like the gold trim better than the silver. It's fancy.

I added a CAI and the ST exhaust to my 2016 Focus which put out 190 on the dyno (160 wheel). Not blazing, but spirited and more fun to drive for less than $500. Going a similar route with my 1.0 Eco

Is that a heated wheel as well?
