I bought an EcoSport on Carvana in 2022. I love it, but my husband hates it. He's been my unofficial mechanic, and I'm sick of begging for repairs and maintenance, so here I am. It's been a nice ride up til 6 months ago when it started needing repairs...which is causing resentment on both sides. He complains and delays fixing anything, but he complains worse if I want to pay someone else to do it.

I've always said I just want to get in the car and have it go, and I don't want to know how it works.

Between this forum and YouTube, I'm hoping to figure out how to do the stuff myself.

That’s a tough spot to be in. Sounds like the car itself has been solid until recently, but the repair situation’s turning into more stress than it’s worth. Might be time to gently set some boundaries—either he helps without the pushback, or you take it somewhere and get it done your way. No shame in wanting to keep your car running without all the extra drama.
