Finally a North American forum on the upcoming EcoSport.

For a long time I wanted a product like this and always wondered why Ford stood on the sidelines while Kia brought the Soul to market, now we have a great alternative but how great... that i'm here to find out. So far I like what I see, need to see one in person.

Welcome to the forum! The EcoSport is really a looker and it's a great deal too. What are you currently driving?
Ford has a history of taking too long to react but when they do react its a safe move so in a way its good for us. If all they did were quick moves and took a lot of losses along the way it could slow their overall growth.

Welcome..

driving around in a 2014 Honda Fit, so already you can see how well the EcoSport plays into owning an EcoSport, I like to think that the ES is a great incremental step forward.

so essentially you will be getting into something like the fit but that just rides higher up about 5-6 inches, not a bad step up!
just make sure you do enough research to confirm that's what you want, some times people want a bigger step up, so an Escape could be better for you if that's the case
I've thought about the Honda Fit as well, but the design was what put me off and ten came the EcoSport. But those Honda Fit seats are nice, with how many ways you can fold them away and something I wish more cars had.

I guess that might be why they came out with the HR-V because it filled that gap in the market along with keeping up with the whole CUV rise that Kia sort of kicked off in North America. Do you at least like the HR-V?
