Back up camera brightness

New owner, just got a 2020 Ecopsort SE 4 wheel drive. 6500 rebate is why I did. First car with backup camera. I have the sync 3 screen brightness set correctly BUT when you put car into reverse and the back up camera comes on at night it is way to bright. It blinds me, my ability to see out of the side windows say in a parking lot to see if someone is walking up to go behind me is impossible to see with such a bright screen in the car. I already contacted Ford via chat and they have no solution. Google searching i find all sorts of complaints against GM and Ford in other models for EXACT same thing. The Ford F150 forums I found really hated it. They came up with a software patch for the F150 but some still said it was to bright but better. Same software patch for GM vehicles. Some said cover the backup screen with a hat. Which makes the back up camera useless. .

Am I the only Ecosport owner that finds the brightness of back up camera at night way to bright? Day time its fine.

No youre not the only one . I just got a 2020 ecosport . Same thing super bright screen in dark . I am not sure if the dealership can fix this .. they don't seem helpful . I went and bought binder index films from walmart.. the colorful clear plastic pages to separat binder . chose the bluish tint .. and cut it in half to stick on top of screen . It seems to help . But the screen just looks a bit blueish in tint. I only need to see when I'm backing straight so I don't hit something In the back.. otherwise it helps me see outside still without that blinding light in my face and I can see my mirrors again to see the corners and sides of the car ... try it out . Cheap fix .. :)
