The engine was probably made in the US, too. The 2.0 was only sold in the EcoSport here, since the Focus got axed, though it's been in a ton of Fords (and Mazdas and Volvos).
They made it for years. We got the most powerful version of it, and the bugs are long gone. It ain't new, it ain't fast, it's not that economical, but it won't break.
It's been phased out. We got the last, and best, version of it.
Change your oil every 5000 miles with good synthetic, and the engine will outlast the car.
