I just received a notice from Ford that the parts are in for recall 23S64! Finally... I made the appointment at the dealership for the install next month Sept 15, 2025

I received the same notice from Ford. My dealer claims the parts are still on backorder and call back in two weeks. A little voice in the back of my head wonders if they are putting me off because my 2018 only has 13000 miles on it and they know I'm retired. This is just an INTERIM repair from what I can see. Does that mean yet another repair is down the road???

I got one too. But when I contact Ford to set up the appointment, all they want to talk about is how they're going to charge me for diagnosis, installation etc. of all parts other than the recall. The issues with my car are all due to the recall, but I'm afraid to risk them keeping my car for non payment of auto repairs. It's not currently running. As a matter of fact, it's been parked more often than driven since I've gotten the stupid car. I hate that thing! Been a money pit.

You're right and I'm stuck. Although I've had my EcoSport 6 years it has but 13000 miles on it, and no problems :::knocking on wood:::: At 75, it has to last me the rest of my life. :( I can't afford another car -- I can only pray whatever ridiculous fix Ford has come up with will last me the rest of my days. My ex retired from Ford and he bled Ford Motor Company blue. I bet he's churning in his urn at the joke Ford has turned into. I've purchased a 3 or 4 new cars, unfortunately the EcoSport was to be my last and most economical car. Thanks for nothing Ford....sorely disappointed even though I still love my car. I should have kept my Escape. :'(

Do let us know when you get the car back -- I'm interested in what warranty Ford provides on the repair. My dealership is taking cars in in 'groups' and my car is supposedly in the next group...they say it will be gone for a "while" whatever that is. Leery, yes, but it must be fixed. Most interested in how the car runs afterward. Please keep us posted. thanks!!!

Did they give you any idea what the warranty was on the fix? How does the car drive now? Is it still as peppy as it was before....Mine's scheduled to go in with the next 'group' of repairs...thanks in advance (although they can't tell me when that is...they just say 'a couple of weeks)
