The NHTSA just recently revealed the safety ratings for the 2018 Ford EcoSport. While it did manage to get an overall rating of 4 stars in frontal crash tests and 5 stars in side impact tests, it fell short in the rollover test. It only managed to a 3 star rating in the resistance to rollover test, which is fairly uncommon for vehicles in this category. These safety ratings put it below key rivals such as the HR-V, CX-3 and Trax. In fact, the EcoSport is the only compact SUV to score a 3 star safety rating in the rollover test.

Well they are going to have to make improvements to its safety standards if they ever hope of gaining any market share in the U.S. Imo they really should just give it a fresh redesign, because the look isn't helping gain any interest in the model. Both Honda and Mazda have made significant progress with their models.

I don't unless it shows up in main stream media which in that case its either a really good rating, something concerning or a slow day in the news room :D

There's a level of trustworthiness that come with buying a product from a reputable company in a country where regulators keep them in check, unlike other countries I shall not speak of.
